Book Blogger Hop (3/4-3/7)

Book Blogger Hop

Time for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Crazy for Books. This week's question:

Who's your all-time favorite book villain?

"The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed"

And so we are introduced to Randall Flagg, the ultimate embodiment of evil from Stephen King's Gunslinger series (and numerous other King works.) I started reading this series when book one first came out back in 1982 and stayed with it til the final chapter in 2004. My favorite book series of all time!

He is a fantastic villain! I wish I would have thought of him! :)

I read The Gunslinger so long ago that I barely remember it. I am familiar with Mr. Flagg though, from The Stand and yes what a great villain. The actor in the min-series did a great job of bringing him to life.

Don't read Stephen King. I only read YA. Your blog title amuses me.

Have a great weekend! :)

Excellent choice! These are the only books I've ever been able to read by King (nothing else does it for me), but I love them wholeheartedly. Some of the absolute best world-building of anything I've ever read.
And I want a billy bumbler.

What a brilliant blog name - I love it!

And great pick - that series has some of the evilest of evil I've ever seen (I've only read the graphic novels...emphasis on graphic ::shudder::)

Wow, what a scary picture! That's going to give me nightmares tonight, for sure!
I haven't really read any Steven King... it's too scary for me!

I love those books.

Also, I'm passing the Stylish Blogger Award your way. You can check out the details here.

I love Stephen King, especially the short stories. But I think his female characters are weak stereotypes...he can't really develop them.

Sometimes he gets a little quacky...a haunted girl, a haunted pet cemetery, a haunted blender...but I still love him!
